This medicine may also be used to treat other conditions as determined by your doctor.

This medicine used in combination with estrogen (hormone replacement therapy - HRT) should not be used to prevent heart disease. This medicine may increase your risk of developing blood clots. If you will be having surgery, or be confined to a bed or chair for a long period of time (such as a long plane flight), notify your doctor beforehand. Special precautions may be needed in these circumstances while you are taking this medicine. Combination hormone replacement therapy (HRT) can infrequently cause breast cancer, heart problems such as heart attack, stroke, dementia, or blood clots in the lung or leg. Estrogens may also increase the risk of cancer of the ovary. These risks appear to depend on the length of time the combination is used and the amount of estrogen per dose. Therefore, HRT should be used for the shortest possible length of time at the lowest effective dose, so you obtain the benefits and minimize the chance for serious side effects from long-term treatment. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor. FOR WOMEN: DO NOT USE THIS MEDICINE if you are pregnant. IF YOU SUSPECT THAT YOU COULD BE PREGNANT, contact your doctor immediately. THIS MEDICINE IS EXCRETED IN BREAST MILK. IF YOU ARE OR WILL BE BREAST-FEEDING while you are using this medicine, check with your doctor or pharmacist to discuss the risks to your baby.
